Poole Harbour is the largest natural harbour in Europe with sailings to and from Cherbourg in France and the Channel Islands.
There are boat trips from the Quay to Bournemouth, Swanage, Brownsea Island and the Isle of Wight.
If you want to travel a little further there are also half day trips to the Channel Islands, with an optional evening meal in Jersey or
Guernsey.
Tuesday evenings from 6pm on the Quay there is a motor cycle event, and on Friday’s it is the turn of the classic car. On both of these evenings the Quay is closed to traffic so everyone can view the bikes or cars safely. Both of these events run weekly from April to September.
During June & July on Thursday evenings from 6pm there is family entertainment at the Quay finishing around 10pm with a spectacular finale of fireworks. Thursday evenings during August the family entertainment and fireworks are held at Sandbanks Beach.
